Mobile Bay CVB Announces
National Recognition for Mobile

Mobile, AL has been named as one of the “TOP 50 PLACES
TO LIVE & PLAY” by National Geographic Adventure
magazine. The Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau
(MBCVB) assisted National Geographic Adventure writer Sarah
Tuff in providing information as to why Mobile should be
the one Alabama city included on this exclusive list. The
MBCVB also supplied Tuff with local contacts for supporting
interviews. Kristian Aboud, owner and operator of Five Rivers
Delta Safaris and new Mobilian, was chosen to be interviewed
for this article. In addition, to validate our status as “One
of the Top 50 Places to Live & Play,” National
Geographic Adventure sent an anonymous representative to
review the area. As a result of that visit, the Kate Shepard
House Bed and Breakfast, 5 Rivers: Alabama’s Delta
Resource Center and Café 615 were all included on
their list of personal recommendations for places to stay,
play and eat. National Geographic Adventure printed magazine
has a readership of over 595,000. The entire Mobile Bay area
will benefit from this great exposure. Congratulations Mobile
Bay! And many thanks to those who unknowingly showed this
publication an amazing Mobile Bay experience!
